Krishna Premarupa Dasa was born 1977 in Zurich, Switzerland. After traveling in Asia he came in contact with Buddhism and developed a desire to become a monk. Srila Prabhupada`s Bhagavad Gita brought him later to Gaudiya Vaishnavism and made him join ISKCON Zurich in 2001. After living for one year in Odhisa, India, in order to understand more deeply the rich spiritual culture and lifestyle of Krishna Consciousness, he received initiation from H.H. Bhakti Svarupa Damodara Swami in Imphal, Manipur.

Coming back to Switzerland Krishna Premarupa Dasa, being a professional chef, soon served as the headcook of the Krishna Temple in Zurich. After second initiation in 2004 he started to serve mainly as Pujari, Preacher and Bhakta Leader.

 

In 2007, he became the Temple President for ISKCON Zurich and from October 2011 he started to serve as the RGB-Secretary for Switzerland. Besides his management responsibilities, he is also giving cooking classes, organizing pilgrimages to India and Japa Retreats in Switzerland and also is involved in various Interfaith programs and ISKCON Communication activities.

Krishna Premarupa Dasa`s desire to deeply study the Sastras and to share Srila Prabhupada`s Teachings inspired him to undergo various Teacher Training courses within ISKCON and also within the secular world. As a result of that, he now serves ISKCON Zurich as a Bhakti Sastri Teacher and continues his own study in the form of Bhakti Vaibhava Courses. After successfully completing the GBC College Training in March 2017 he was appointed as Zonal Supervisor for ISKCON Switzerland-Liechtenstein.
